Draft — not yet effective. The effective date and governing-law fields on this page are marked {{FACT_PENDING}} and will be finalised before RankCause accepts partner applications under this version. Apply to the programme and we’ll send you the executed agreement to countersign.
Short version. Share RankCause honestly, get paid a one-time 5–15% commission on the first paid month of each referred customer, disclose the affiliate relationship to your audience, don’t spam or brand-bid. This document is the long version, for when your legal team needs it or we need to reference specific clauses.

1. Parties

This Agreement is between RankCause (“Company”, “we”) and the individual or entity who applies to and is accepted into the RankCause Partner Programme (“Partner”, “you”). Acceptance occurs when we approve your application; at that point you are bound by this Agreement.

2. Commission

2.1 Rate.

Partner earns a one-time commission for each Qualifying Customer, calculated on the first paid subscription payment received by Company from that customer, at the following rates:

The commission is paid once, per customer, ever. It is not a recurring or monthly kickback. Company may add new pricing tiers in the future; the rate applied to a given plan will be published on this page and in the partner dashboard.

2.2 “First paid month” means.

The Qualifying Customer’s first successful subscription payment to Company, net of: refunds, chargebacks, transaction fees (Stripe / Coinbase), and any promotional discount codes applied at checkout.

2.3 “Qualifying Customer” means.

A new RankCause account that (a) was created through the Partner’s tracked referral link within the cookie window described in §2.4, (b) converts to a paid plan, and (c) was not already a RankCause customer or trialist in the preceding 12 months.

2.4 Cookie window.

Referral attribution uses a 60-day last-click cookie. If a prospective customer clicks two partner links, the most recent click wins. Technical detail: cookie name is aff_ref, SameSite=Lax, 30-day browser TTL refreshed on each click up to the 60-day attribution window.

3. Payouts

Commission is calculated on the last day of each calendar month and paid out on or before the 15th of the following month, once the following conditions are met:

Amounts below the $200 threshold roll forward to the next month. Partner can request a smaller payout at any time via the dashboard, subject to processor fees.

4. Promotion methods

Partner may promote RankCause through honest, disclosed methods including: personal blog/newsletter content, organic social media, podcast sponsorships, YouTube reviews, consulting client recommendations, conference talks, and paid content clearly marked as sponsored.

Partner must include an affiliate disclosure wherever an affiliate link appears, in compliance with FTC, CAP, and equivalent jurisdictional rules.

5. Prohibited promotion methods

These end your partner relationship immediately

  • Brand bidding. Paid search ads on “RankCause”, “RankCause”, common misspellings, or domain-name queries on any ad network.
  • Trademark squatting. Domains, handles, or app names that incorporate “prism” or confusingly similar variants.
  • Incentivised traffic. PTC networks, cashback / coupon scraping sites, bot traffic, or any arrangement where the clicker is paid to click.
  • Unsolicited bulk email. Sending to purchased lists, scraped leads, or anyone who has not opted in to hear from you.
  • Self-referrals. Referring your own account, household, or controlled business entities.
  • Misleading claims. Inventing guarantees (“RankCause will rank you #1”), pretending to be a RankCause employee, or fabricating testimonials.
  • Auto-generated / AI-spam content. Mass-produced “best SEO tools” listicles with no original analysis, or content designed purely to capture branded search intent.
  • Rebate / kickback offers to the referred customer without Company’s prior written approval.

6. Intellectual property

Partner may use the “RankCause” name, logo, and screenshots strictly as provided in the Partner Media Kit, unmodified, for the purpose of promoting the Partner Programme. Any other use requires prior written permission.

Company retains all rights to its brand, marks, and product. Partner retains all rights to Partner’s own content.

7. Confidentiality

Partner may receive non-public product information (roadmap, pricing tests, beta features). Partner agrees not to disclose such information to third parties without prior written consent. Public roadmap items and shipped features are not confidential.

8. Term & termination

This Agreement is effective on approval of Partner’s application and continues until terminated by either party.

Either party may terminate for convenience with 30 days’ written notice. Company may terminate immediately for: breach of Section 5 (prohibited methods), fraudulent activity, or material damage to Company’s reputation.

On termination, (a) tracking links are deactivated; (b) Partner continues to earn commission on previously Qualifying Customers for the remainder of their 12-month window, unless termination was for cause under Section 5, in which case unpaid commission is forfeited.

9. Changes to the programme

Company may modify commission rates, cookie window, or these terms with 30 days’ written notice to active partners. Changes apply to new Qualifying Customers acquired after the effective date of the change; previously-Qualifying Customers continue under the terms in force at the time they qualified.

10. Disputes

Disputes will first be addressed in good faith via email to {{FACT_PENDING}}. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes are governed by the law of {{FACT_PENDING}} and resolved by the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Miscellaneous

Partner is an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, or joint-venturer of Company. Partner is responsible for their own tax reporting. This Agreement, together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, is the entire agreement and supersedes prior discussions.
